NOTE: Each day from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur I will be posting an inspiring Jewish text along with a few questions for reflection. Feel free to answer and discuss here, or to use these questions for your own reflection/journaling. These texts are also being posted on my Facebook page.
TEXT 2: From Rebbe Nachman of Breslov (18th century Hasidic leader)

“Make every attempt to pray from the heart. Even if you do not succeed, the effort is precious in God’s eyes.”
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION:
- What does it mean to “pray from the heart?” Can you really fail to do so if you try?
- Have you ever been unable to pray? What did you do?
- What part of prayer most moves you – the words? The music? The community? Something else?
